Back to Course SiteWhat Descrybe Provides
Descrybe is a legal research and intelligence platform built to help people and AI systems work more effectively with U.S. primary law. Its suite of tools includes a full legal research platform, AI-powered research and analysis capabilities, and the Descrybe Legal Engine, which brings reliable legal intelligence into AI assistants and other workflows.
Descrybe's Open Connector extends those capabilities further, allowing developers and organizations to incorporate Descrybe's legal research tools into the applications and workflows they build. Across its products, Descrybe focuses on verifiable legal research, authority relationships, and helping users understand not just what the law says, but which authorities matter most for the question at hand.
Access details will be shared with registered participants who opt in to the hands-on exercises or team-project activities. Participants may need to accept Descrybe's terms of service as part of the signup process.
How It Fits The Course
- Agent skills and legal research workflows. Matt Pollins' session on Claude Code, Codex, and agent skills can help participants think through how legal research becomes part of practical agent workflows. Descrybe provides a full legal research platform, Legal Engine access for ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity, and an Open Connector for custom tools and workflows.
- HTMLaw and source-grounded client guidance. Dan Sito's HTMLaw exercise is a natural place to use legal research, authority checks, and source material as inputs for interactive guidance and decision tools.
- Interlateral team projects. During the optional 2:00-4:00 PM team-based sessions, participants can request use of Descrybe to support legal research, authority mapping, verification, and source-grounded shared outputs.

Descrybe can help participants bring verifiable legal research, authority relationships, source retrieval, and legal research verification into course exercises and team projects. These tools support research and workflow development; participants should still inspect important sources, check jurisdiction and treatment, and apply professional judgment before relying on any legal output.
